Hi. We're Kelly and Jessica, cousins by marriage and the founders of LIONYX Lacquer.
Less than a year ago, this brand didn't exist.
It started with countless texts, swatch photos, and conversations about the nail polish we wished we could find: colors that felt elevated and unexpected, specialty finishes that were bold yet wearable, and a brand that felt equal parts fierce and refined.
We also wanted formulas that could keep up with real life.
As a full-time working mom and a full-time working dog mom, we needed polish that dries quickly, lasts through laundry, dishes, dog walks, and everything in between, while still looking polished at work. We wanted shades that felt just as at home in the boardroom as they did on the weekend.
When we couldn't find exactly what we were looking for, we decided to build it ourselves.
The name LIONYX was inspired by the strength of the lioness and the resilience of onyx stone. That balance of bold and sophisticated, fearless and refined, became the foundation for every shade, collection, and decision we've made since.
From the very beginning, we also knew we wanted this brand to give back.
Today, we're proud to share that we've donated 5% of the proceeds from our launch to Panthera, a nonprofit dedicated to protecting the world's wild cats and the landscapes they call home.
We're incredibly proud of what we've built so far, but we're even more excited about what's ahead.
